Project Controls Coordinator IVLocation: Houston, TX (Hybrid)Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Possible Extension) Position OverviewThe Project Controls Coordinator IV is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and change management. This role partners closely with engineering, planning, and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with full visibility into performance and risks. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of the Project Controls Plan, including cost estimates, control budgets, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)Track and monitor project performance, including forecast at completion, incurred costs, and budget adherenceProvide detailed variance analysis and explain cost and schedule deviationsDevelop and maintain project schedules aligned with project objectives and key milestonesUpdate schedules based on actual progress and forecast remaining durations and completion timelinesImplement Earned Value Management (EVM) and ensure accurate reporting of CPI and earned value metricsManage change control processes, including initiation of PCOs, trends, and AFE revisions; support supplemental funding requestsIdentify risks proactively and communicate mitigation strategies effectivelyCollaborate with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, and project managementCommunicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and leadershipRequired QualificationsPost-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field10+ years of experience in project controls within construction or infrastructure projectsExperience in renewable energy (solar or wind) or large-scale infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and project performance trackingAbility to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision Preferred QualificationsPMP (Project Management Professional) certificationExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM)Familiarity with change management processes such as PCOs and AFE revisions Technical SkillsExperience with Ecosys, Oracle, and Power BIAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools
