Operations Manager

SMP sells its products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico, and other Latin American countries.Overall ScopePerform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Plant Manager to successfully lead the Manufacturing efforts of Greenville Operations.Minimum RequirementsBAC DegreeDemonstrated Leadership ExperienceFive or more years’ experience leading manufacturing environmentsProject management experienceExcellent Communication SkillsMRP/ERP ExperienceLean Manufacturing experienceResponsibilities And DutiesLead different manufacturing product groups to meet business targets including on time delivery, quality, efficiency and costOrganize and staff manufacturing areas according to business needsLead and coach production supervisors across multiple shiftsSupport coordination of weekly production scheduleLead and participate in safety and quality improvement teamsMaintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirementsContribute to new training development and sustainability of existing training systemsPlanning and maintenance of budget for operationsSupport new product prototype development and launchActive contributor to continuous improvement process (5S, Kaizen, Shainin)Represent SMP to customers and suppliersProject work as assigned by Plant ManagerStandard Motor Products is an equal opportunity employer.
