Medical Office Associate I, Per Diem, Gastroenterology, Summit
Principal Accountabilities
Verifies insurance coverage, completes forms, collects co-pays
Balances cash
Maintains schedule in EMR system, processes pre‑certs/authorizations & referrals and medical records releases
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred
Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer and employee focused, demonstrates ability to multi‑task
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
