SummaryFIRST RF is seeking a Test Engineer to support the engineering and production teams in testing of cutting-edge antenna prototypes and products. In this role, you will work as part of the engineering team to test and qualify cutting edge antenna prototypes and products with specific focus on qualification testing of new products. This position is required to translate customer and internal qualification requirements into mechanical, electrical and RF test documentation to perform and report on product qualification status. The role will be responsible for test design, preparation, execution, data review and reporting. You will also analyze collected data and provide recommendations, helping your team seek out and eliminate flaws in design and manufacturing. You will also have a key role in reviewing the flow and planned artifacts of qualification test procedures to ensure that tests are performed in logical sequence and address the correct performance and process metrics.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain test documentation to meet customer and internal specificationsUnderstand product requirements and functionalityWrite test procedures to detail steps needed to complete testingTrack requirement compliance through designated verification methodsUtilize Engineering Change Control process to keep documentation updated and usefulDesign test fixtures and procure test equipment needed to meet test requirements Implement process improvements to test flows or test methodologiesAnalyze test results and compile into deliverable Test ReportsDocument and troubleshoot testing anomalies and implement corrective actions as necessarySchedule test resources for in-house testing based on engineering and production schedulesCoordinate with off-site test houses to schedule and perform testingCoordinate test readiness reviews to validate procedures, fixtures, and configuration control prior to test executionEnsure data integrity through disciplined configuration management, test article tracking, and revision control of all test-related documentationLead the test strategy development for new products or programsQualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceMust have U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security ClearanceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Math disciplines or equivalent Experience designing test plans and procedures based on higher-level product specificationsWriting, analyzing, and reporting on test results Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and possible solutions to peers, management, and customersA desire to find, explore, and solve new and challenging problems, including recommending improvements to test methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy Comfortable in a lab environmentPreferred Education And Experience2+ years experience in aerospace or other advanced technology product testingExperience testing devices and hardware that operate at radio frequenciesExperience working an AS9100 or ISO9001 environmentExperience with aerospace test standards and electronic standards testing, including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, NASA-STD-7001, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, DO-178, and DO-254Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
