Job Summary
We are seeking a *Calibration Technologist / Technician* to provide technical support to a Metrology Laboratory. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timely calibration of measurement and laboratory equipment used across manufacturing, testing, and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform and support *calibration and metrology activities* for laboratory, production, and test equipment.
* Develop, maintain, and improve *calibration procedures, standards, and documentation*.
* Troubleshoot and maintain measurement instruments, laboratory equipment, and related systems.
* Ensure calibration activities comply with applicable *quality standards and procedures*.
* Provide technical guidance and support to calibration/metrology technicians.
* Train and mentor technicians on calibration processes and equipment.
* Support *continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization* initiatives.
* Evaluate measurement systems to improve their accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
* Partner with *engineering, manufacturing, production, testing, and laboratory teams* to resolve measurement and calibration requirements.
* Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, laboratory processes, and service delivery.
* Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure equipment remains within required specifications.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in *Engineering or a related technical field* preferred.
* Experience in *calibration, metrology, instrumentation, measurement systems, or a related technical discipline*.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with *laboratory, test, or measurement equipment*.
* Knowledge of calibration procedures, standards, and measurement practices.
* Ability to provide technical leadership and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with *process improvement, automation, or continuous improvement* is a plus.
* Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, medical device, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
Pay: $41.00 - $42.00 per hour
