Our bar backs typically have 1-2 years of bartending/barback experience at a fine dining restaurant.The bar back is responsible for general assistance of the bar staff, including glass-washing, batching, and restocking of beverage products. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area, beer cooler and assisting guests as needed.Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins, and all other necessary items before and during service hoursPrepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegsClean up spills, organize the counterHandle emergency situations, such as cleaning up broken glasses and clearing up clogged drainsQualificationsMust have at least 1 year experience working in a high volume and high-end environmentStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to adapt to a fast paced, high volume restaurant settingExperience using Micros a big plusWHY WORK AT SMITH & WOLLENSKY?1.
