Position Summary:
This position is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of ilani’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which includes accounting, financial reporting, human resources, payroll, and procurement. This responsibility includes design, development, support, project management and maintenance.
The Manager will work closely with senior departmental leadership, internal IT leadership, external resources, and representatives of all departments to manage ilani’ s ERP system.
The position provides leadership with recommendations to improve and expand functionality and optimize performance by leveraging the capabilities of the ERP. The ERP Systems Manager and subordinate roles are not authorized to provide services to parties external to Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Authority.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes superior guest service.
Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
Ability to provide consistent developmental support and guidance to direct reports to ensure that they have the tools, information, and coaching necessary to carry out their work at the highest level.
Lead, coach, and guide the ERP application analysts and project management teams.
Develop solutions to maximize ERP system capabilities from the broadest perspective for the casino.
Maintain regular interaction with all administrative areas and serve as the first level of help for the ERP system.
Serve as liaison between functional users and technical support staff for the ERP system.
Stay current on ERP upgrades and new capabilities to meet the organizational needs and propose new initiatives to meet identified needs.
Work with Communications team to develop training programs for new and experienced users.
Lead project teams and strategies to coordinate efforts of people from appropriate departments, IT, outside consultants, vendors, and others.
Anticipate problems and resolve issues where conflicting needs and solutions surface.
Analyze complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solutions
Lead change management efforts by analyzing, creating test plans, creating implementation plans and making recommendations to the change management group for approval.
Report to steering committee on status, updates and future state recommendations and gain approvals.
In alignment with IT leadership, create methodologies, process and procedures needed to support ERP solution.
Ensure compliance with all State and Tribal Gaming regulations that govern IT systems and that apply to the ERP solution.
Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the ERP team.
Hands on solutioning and support for Workday ERP solution.
Facilitate, guide, and organize training efforts in conjunction with HR on ERP solution.
Participate in the Workday community for knowledge sharing and gathering.
Plan, test, and implement biannual Workday release updates.
Lead integration efforts in conjunction with partners to ensure functionality and maintain stability.
Assess business needs and support for the ERP solution and work with the Steering committee to set priorities.
Work with leadership and steering committee to define and communicate the Workday roadmap.
Working with IT Security team, follow and maintain best practices to insure the highest levels of security within the ERP solution and any systems under this positions purview.
Responsible for ERP system access management to ensure access is approved by Senior leadership and maintained in alignment with those approvals.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business or related field and five (5) plus years’ experience as a Manager in a complex casino environment.
5+ years’ experience with ERP system implementation and hands-on maintenance to meet end user needs.
Minimum 2 years’ demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Workday ERP solution.
Minimum 2 years’ Kronos time management experience and time management system conversion.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, procurement, payroll, and human resource concepts related to segregation of duties, wage and hour laws, benefit regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of change management process and creating change plans.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Workday tenant environments for testing.
Knowledge of best practice efforts around system and data security.
Ability to facilitate problem-solving among administrative groups with varying needs and priorities, and to communicate well with administrative users, technical staff, and senior management.
Excellent written and oral communications.
Excellent MS Office Suite skills, with specific strength using Excel.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
Ability to manage in a 24x7x365 environment.
Ability to work as part of a team, seeking alignment and best possible outcomes.
Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
