Located in our Columbia, MO plant, you will be an Sr. Engineer Technician. The Sr. Engineering Technician supports material innovation and compliance initiatives within the Materials Science team and reports to the Laboratory Manager. This role collaborates closely with scientists, engineers, and laboratory teams, to coordinate and execute material processing, prototype development, and testing activities that support the development of next-generation power transmission and fluid power products. Key responsibilities (to name a few):Plan and execute prototype production activities in accordance with detailed engineering instructionsComplete laboratory work orders by following established material formulation and testing proceduresGenerate accurate, consistent, and repeatable data to support departmental objectives and product development effortsCompile, analyze, and present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiencesMaintain a working knowledge of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials to support safe and efficient operations ABOUT YOUPost-secondary education is preferred5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong change management, documentation, and data management skillsExcellent planning, organization, and time management abilities, with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information and data to support effective decision-makingDemonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capability to identify issues and implement practical solutionsHigh attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, high-quality documentation and reportingExperience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP preferredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship BENEFITSFull-TimeMedical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options:Benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hireEligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation, additionally 8 sick days11 paid holidays401(k): company matching up to 6%Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Discounts WHY GATES?
