OverviewThis role focuses on hands‑on environmental field work supporting the operation, monitoring, and optimization of industrial gas collection systems. The position combines field leadership with technical expertise in gas sampling, landfill gas systems, and environmental monitoring across multiple sites.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and lead environmental field work related to Gas Collection & Control Systems (GCCS) and landfill gas (LFG) systemsConduct gas sampling, monitoring, and data collection to support regulatory compliance and system performanceTroubleshoot and maintain industrial gas system components including blowers, pumps, instrumentation, and liquids extraction systemsOperate and monitor environmental sampling equipment to measure gas composition, pressure, flow, and water levelsOversee daily field activities, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with environmental regulationsDocument field data, system readings, and maintenance activities using standard reporting toolsProvide technical support and guidance to field technicians during sampling, maintenance, and system optimization activitiesCoordinate with project teams, clients, and regulators regarding field conditions, system performance, and corrective actionsRequired Skills & ExperienceHigh school diploma with 5+ years of experience in environmental field work, industrial gas systems, or landfill gas operationsStrong working knowledge of GCCS, LFG systems, and environmental monitoring practicesHands‑on experience with gas sampling and monitoring equipment (FID, PID, explosive gas detectors, LFG analyzers such as GEM or Envision)Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components including pumps, blowers, and control systemsExperience collecting, interpreting, and documenting environmental and gas system dataProficiency using basic software tools (Excel, databases) for field data tracking and reportingOSHA HAZWOPER 40‑hour certification with annual 8‑hour refreshers (or ability to obtain)PlussesExperience with liquids extraction systems and HDPE pipe fusionLight equipment operation experiencePrior field leadership or technician mentoring experienceHourly Pay Rate: 32-40/hrcompany vehicle will be provided
