Cognos Developer

Role OverviewWe’re seeking a Senior Cognos Analytics Administrator to manage and optimize our IBM Cognos Analytics platform, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and reliable enterprise reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister Cognos Analytics 11.x/12.x across Dev, Test, and Production.Manage Gateway, Dispatcher, Content Manager, Content Store, Report Services, and Batch Report Services.Support Cognos installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, patches, and refreshes.Manage security, RBAC, row-level security, and integrations with AD/LDAP, SAML, OIDC, SSO, ForgeRock/PingID.Monitor and optimize JVM, memory, concurrency, workloads, and report performance.Provide Tier 2/3 support, troubleshooting, outage management, and root-cause analysis.Collaborate with database and infrastructure teams on SQL Server/Oracle, Windows/Linux, IIS/IBM HTTP Server, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, load balancing, backup, and DR.Maintain documentation, operational standards, monitoring, and best practices; mentor junior administrators.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.7+ years of IBM Cognos Analytics/BI administration experience.Strong expertise in Cognos architecture, security, distributed/HA environments, upgrades, and migrations.Advanced SQL and relational database experience.Windows and/or Linux administration experience.Strong troubleshooting, RCA, communication, and stakeholder management skills.PreferredExperience with SQL Server, Oracle, AD/LDAP, SAML/OIDC, ForgeRock, PingID, IIS/IBM HTTP Server, load balancers, and scripting/automation.Financial services/banking experience.IBM Cognos certification.
