Senior Project Manager (Utah)
Must have Structural Steel Experience The Senior Project Manager leads multiple complex, high-value construction or manufacturing-related projects from initiation through completion. This role is accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget while driving strong client relationships and cross-functional collaboration. This leader brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to managing risk, optimizing execution, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead projects from early planning through final delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget expectations Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource planning, and risk identification Facilitate project kickoff meetings and establish clear expectations across internal teams and external partners Partner closely with engineering, operations, procurement, and field teams to ensure seamless execution Anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions to maintain project momentum Financial & Contract Management Own project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Manage change orders, progress billing, and cost tracking to ensure financial accuracy and transparency Support contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to align expectations and mitigate risk Partner with finance to monitor revenue recognition, cash flow, and overall project performance Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders Build and maintain strong relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and trust Lead regular project reviews, providing updates on progress, risks, and key milestones Balance client expectations with operational realities to drive successful outcomes Risk, Quality & Safety Identify and mitigate project risks through structured planning and ongoing monitoring Ensure consistent execution of quality standards across all phases of the project Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across job sites and operational environments Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, contractual requirements, and internal standards Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop project team members, fostering a high-performance culture Drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams Support talent development and succession planning within the project organization Contribute to broader operational initiatives and process improvements Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred Demonstrated success managing complex, large-scale projects with significant budgets Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management Experience leading cross-functional teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications Proficiency with modern project management and ERP tools (e.g., Procore, ERP systems, or similar platforms) Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Relevant certifications are a plus
