Global Product Manager, Aerobic & Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment Systems

implement product strategies and roadmaps for ADI systems, including anaerobic reactors, aerobic polishing systems, and integrated treatment trains (pretreatment -> AD -> polishing)Segment markets by industry (e.g., food & beverage, ethanol, pulp & paper, chemicals) and application (e.g., high COD reduction, energy recovery, sludge reduction)Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, including regulatory drivers such as discharge limits and carbon incentivesIdentify new product and application opportunities, including co-digestion, waste-to-energy integration, and digital optimizationCollaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and long-term growth strategiesDevelop value propositions tied to OPEX reduction (energy, sludge handling) and sustainability outcomes (carbon footprint reduction, renewable energy generation)Product Development and LaunchOversee product development process from concept to launch, including stage-gate / NPD processesDefine product features, requirements, and technical specifications in collaboration with engineering and R&DPrioritize development pipeline, including innovations such as higher-rate anaerobic systems and digital process optimization toolsCoordinate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of new and enhanced solutionsSupport product testing, validation, and continuous improvement through performance feedbackProduct Positioning and MessagingDefine target markets and develop buyer personas across industrial segments and applicationsDevelop differentiated product positioning and messaging against competitors (e.g., Veolia, Ovivo, Paques)Create marketing materials and sales tools, including battlecards, ROI calculators, and case studiesTrain and enable sales teams on product features, benefits, and value propositionsSupport pricing strategies, margin targets, and overall commercial positioningProduct Performance AnalysisMonitor product performance and track key metrics, including revenue growth, margin performance, and market penetrationOwn revenue growth targets for the ADI portfolio and support forecasting activitiesIdentify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendationsConduct competitive analysis and benchmarking across ADI and industrial wastewater marketsPrepare reports and presentations for senior managementCustomer Feedback and SupportGather and analyze Voice of Customer (VoC) from industrial clients, consulting engineers, and channel partnersCollaborate with engineering and application teams to translate customer insights into product enhancements and new development opportunitiesProvide high-level technical support for strategic bids and complex applicationsWork with customer support and field teams to address product issues and improve customer satisfactionDevelop and implement structured customer feedback programsCross Functional CollaborationWork closely with cross functional teams to ensure successful product launches, updates, and lifecycle managementPartner with regional sales teams to prioritize pipeline opportunities and shape deal strategy and win themesCollaborate with application engineering to define system design boundaries and performance expectationsDrive cost reduction, standardization, and modularization initiatives across the product portfolioCommunicate product updates and changes to all relevant stakeholdersProduct Lifecycle ManagementManage product lifecycle from concept → launch → growth → optimizationIdentify underperforming offerings and recommend sunset, repositioning, or investment strategiesDrive continuous improvement initiatives across product performance, cost structure, and scalabilityHigh Impact BehaviorsStrategic Vision and Foresight: Ability to anticipate market trends in industrial water and wastewater treatment, including sustainability and energy recovery, and align product strategies accordinglyMentorship and Talent Development: Support development of product management capabilities across the team and share best practicesInfluential Leadership: Influence cross functional teams, sales organizations, and external stakeholders to drive adoption and growthQualificationsBachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field with at least 5 years of experience or equivalent work experienceExperience in industrial water, wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, or related process technologies strongly preferredStrong technical and commercial acumen, with ability to bridge engineering and market needsProficiency in product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Aha!)Knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and regulatory drivers in industrial marketsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex technical and commercial informationThe estimated salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 USD/CAD plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
