Operations Manager

On behalf of our reputable and stable Energy Industry client; we are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team.Responsibilities Responsible for managing the entire repair processes and personnel for industrial machinery, especially hydraulic couplings and torque converters Responsible for work quality, timeliness and budget Lead a team of mechanics and technicians to complete work orders on time according to schedule and with all customer deliverables satisfied Direct outside service coordinator for matters relating to purchasing, sourcing, identifying 3rd party vendors and more On-time deliveries, cost stability, maintain quality, minimize rejections, manages, prepares, and monitors field service activities Participate in customer technical support Performs supervisory functions of all shop personnel Provides training and coaching for employees in work-related activities and performance Maintain and improve labor utilization standards Certify that work has been completed according to established repair processes, industry best-practices and engineering recommendations Ensure minimal or zero warranty claims Implement strategic initiatives based upon senior leadership direction Meet quality control objectives and coordinate activities to resolve repair problems, maximize product reliability and minimize cost Participate in weekly production meetings that track work order progress Achieve metrics relative to Safety, Quality, Equipment, Productivity, Cost, Ensure OSHA compliance Evaluate, review, modify and develop procedures to safely, efficiently & correctly complete and document the repair process for all brands of hydraulic couplings and torque converters Update, improve and/or develop disassembly and reassembly instruction manuals Same procedures to be performed uniformly by all mechanics Standardize and simplify the process for summary dispositions and communicate it to the departments concerned Participate in inspection documentation & procedure development Standardize processes to interpret and evaluate inspection data for all mechanics and technicians Improve the shop floor organization, utilization, and layout Organize shop equipment and tools Participate in reverse engineering and developing engineering standards and product improvements Evaluate and develop "turnkey" offerings for on-site repairs Occasionally travel to trade shows, conferences and customer sites Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a leadership role 10 years of experience in an industrial environment preferred Computer skills: proficient in all Microsoft Office products, CAD experience a plus Reasoning demands: ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and resolve discrepancies Report conclusions to general manager Must be self directed and able to complete projects with limited superviison Familiarity with and ability to rebuild all the parts and components of the can seamer and filler Test can seam by cutting - inspection and micrometer Make all running repairs Order or list parts and install as required Dismantle and overhaul seamers as required Inspection of cans as required during production Ability to identify wear on seamer components Initiative -taker/Pro-active Engineering mindset Team-player Comfortable in a shop environment Other Perks & Benefits Cost-sharing medical & dental benefits after 30 days 401K plan after 90 days MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
