Production Operator/Assembler

Production Operator I – Cable Assembly Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Role Summary In this position, you will contribute to our manufacturing output through the assembly, rigorous inspection, and testing of coaxial connectors and cable builds. Success in this role relies on your commitment to maintaining high precision and following standardized operational procedures. Core Duties Execute tasks based on provided technical drawings, work orders, and assembly guides Construct intricate components while ensuring compliance with MIL-spec and broader industry benchmarks Utilize specialized machinery, including stripping, coiling, crimping, and testing equipment Complete manual assembly processes utilizing heat guns and presses Utilize precision measurement instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure product accuracy Execute standard quality checks using network analyzers and continuity testers Document quality metrics and production data to help maintain accurate records Log labor hours through our internal tracking software Support a safe and organized workspace while proactively reporting any machinery malfunctions Foster a cooperative atmosphere by working effectively with your teammates Required Qualifications Possession of a GED or High School Diploma Minimum of three years working with soldering or cable assembly Capability to interpret technical prints and adhere to complex instructions High level of accuracy and focus when performing repetitive manual tasks Fundamental computer proficiency for time logging and data input Ability to differentiate between colors to meet strict quality standards Competencies Superior manual dexterity for handling small-scale components Solid grasp of quality standards, tolerances, and measurement techniques Effective communication and analytical problem-solving capabilities Capacity to partner with engineering staff to refine new processes and products Physical Demands and Environment Work within a climate-controlled and tidy production facility Regular periods of sitting, standing, and repetitive motion with the hands Capacity to transport, lift, and maneuver materials as required Mandatory utilization of designated personal protective equipment
