Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on General Engineering Intern to support engineering activities across mechanical and electrical disciplines. This internship offers practical, real-world experience working with cross-functional teams on product design, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist engineers with mechanical and electrical design tasks for new and existing exterior lighting products.
Support product development, validation, including mechanical fit, function, and basic electrical testing.
Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in manufacturing and product performance.
Assist with creating and updating engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support production needs.
Assist with prototype builds, evaluations, and failure analysis.
Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Basic understanding of mechanical principles (materials, tolerances, assemblies).
Basic understanding of electrical concepts (voltage, current, wiring, schematics).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics (preferred).
Familiarity with any CAD software is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
