Agencies, Brokerages, and Other Insurance Related ActivitiesChild Care ServicesNursing Care Facilities (Skilled Nursing Facilities)Automotive Parts, Accessories, and Tire RetailersRV (Recreational Vehicle) Parks and Recreational CampsThe City of Elgin is seeking a Part-time Birthday Party Attendant to provide assistance in planning, implementing and supervising birthday parties at The Centre of Elgin.This position reports directly to the Birthday Party Coordinator and/or Centre Recreation Manager.Supervise birthday parties held in The Centre.Assist Banquet/Rental Office with event supervision at both the Centre of Elgin and the Pavilion at Lords Park.Work with Banquet/Rental Office team on event tours and sales.Weekly calls to parent hosts to answer questions, provide directions, and assure a successful experience by all.Provide quality instruction/supervision to all party participants.Confirm all party dates, times and areas of building usage.Provide leadership to work effectively with the public, program participants, families, advisory groups and community groups and organizations.Keep accurate records/reports and complete all written records as required.Provide general information on Parks & Recreation activities and facilities.Maintain program area in a clean and orderly fashion.Maintain a positive public image and attitude with good public relations and customer service.Wear appropriate staff uniform.Attend all staff meetings.Abide by all City of Elgin rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual.Ability to work pleasantly with participants, patrons and fellow employees.Ability to enforce all rules and policies of the City at the facility in a diplomatic manner.Be able to handle multiple duties/tasks.Minimum 17 years of age with prior demonstrated successful experience working with youth/teens in a recreation/leisure activity.CPR/First Aid certified within 3 months of employment.Hours: WEEKENDS REQUIRED - 11AM TO 5 PM WEEK NIGHTS - 4 TO 8 PM
