Finance Associate — Private Equity Firm (NYC)Finance Associate seat at a private equity firm in New York. Hybrid role spanning FP&A, accounting, and valuations, with direct exposure to the Controller, CFO, and deal team. Well suited for someone two to five years into their career who wants a cross functional view of how a private equity platform operates.Responsibilities:Support the quarterly close and financial reporting process for the management company and fund entitiesBuild and maintain FP&A models covering management company budgeting, headcount planning, and expense forecastingAssist with the quarterly valuation process including data gathering, model review, and supporting documentationPrepare materials for LP reporting, board meetings, and internal management reviewsPartner with the deal team on portfolio company financial analysis and ad hoc projectsContribute to ongoing improvements in reporting, systems, and processesBackground:2 to 5 years of experience in public accounting, FP&A, valuations, or a combination of the aboveCPA or CPA track preferred but not requiredStrong Excel and financial modeling skillsExposure to private equity, alternative assets, or a private company environment is a plusPersonable and collaborative, with the ability to work across accounting, deal team, and senior leadershipDetail oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple workstreamsCompensation includes base, bonus, and a clear path for growth as the platform expands, targeting 150-200k total compensation.
