Cambridge Healthcare Services - Reports To: Benefits ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: Cambridge Healthcare Services (In-OFFICE, Buena Park, CA)Scope: Supports approximately 6,000 employees across 36 facilitiesPosition SummaryThe Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Cambridge Healthcare Services' benefits and retirement programs. This role serves as the primary operational partner to the Benefits Manager and acts as a backup for critical benefits functions.This position owns system administration for UKG and PlanSource , manages benefits transactions, maintains 401(k) records, and ensures accurate and compliant execution of all benefits processes. The role is hands-on and requires strong attention to detail, system knowledge, and problem-solving ability.Position PurposeEnsure accurate, timely, and compliant administration of all benefits programs while supporting system functionality, operational continuity, and scalable processes across all Cambridge Healthcare facilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBenefits AdministrationAdminister day-to-day benefits operations including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary plansProcess enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and eligibility changesSupport administration of leave of absence programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and PDLRespond to employee and HR inquiries and resolve issues in a timely mannerAssist with open enrollment including system setup, testing, and employee supportSystems Administration (UKG and PlanSource)Serve as primary administrator for benefits modules within UKG and PlanSourceMaintain system configuration, eligibility rules, and benefit plan setupManage file feeds, carrier connections, and data integrityTroubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors as neededPerform audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy across systemsRetirement Plan AdministrationMaintain 401(k) plan records with Fidelity InvestmentsProcess eligibility, enrollments, loans, distributions, and status changesSupport audits and ensure accurate data transmission and reconciliationAssist with employee questions related to retirement plansCompliance and ReportingSupport compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and applicable state regulationsAssist with audits, reporting, and documentation requirementsReconcile carrier invoices and ensure billing accuracyMaintain organized records for audits and regulatory reviewsOperational SupportAct as backup to the Benefits Manager for key processes and deadlinesIdentify process improvement opportunities and support implementationHelp standardize workflows across all facilitiesSupport vendor coordination and issue resolutionParticipate in benefits-related projects and system enhancementsEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred3 to 6 years of hands-on benefits administration experienceStrong experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems (UKG, PlanSource or similar)Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state organizations preferredWorking knowledge of benefits compliance including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and CFRACore CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracySystems-oriented with the ability to manage and troubleshoot HR technologyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesClear and effective communication skillsStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsWorking Conditions and Physical RequirementsStandard office environment with minimal travelOccasional extended hours during open enrollment or audit periodsAbility to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods
