Track progress and revise as neededMeet mandatory continuing education requirementsApply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating and performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of diseaseProvide appropriate plan, treatment, and evaluation for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders with appropriate tests and measurements. Maintain pertinent records of specific tests performed and progress madeCommunicate and educate family concerning patient deficits, ways to facilitate treatment, and appropriate discharge plansPromote company mission and administrative policies to ensure the quality of careSLP Requirements:Current Texas State License as Speech Language PathologistCurrent Texas Driver's License and reliable transportationOne year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Pediatric experience requiredEffective interpersonal relations and communication skillsKnowledge of durable medical equipmentAble to work in a patient's home in various conditionsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAble to maintain a high level of confidentialityProof of current CPR certificationAbility to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing. Prolonged standing and walking are requiredRequires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needsPT Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved programCurrent Texas State License as a Physical TherapistCurrent Texas Driver's License and reliable transportationOne year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Pediatric experience requiredEffective interpersonal relations and communication skillsKnowledge of durable medical equipmentAbility to work a flexible schedule and travel locallyAble to work in a patient's home in various conditionsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAble to maintain a high level of confidentialityProof of current CPR certificationAbility to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing.
