Busser-Corsica Reston

The busser is responsible for assisting wait staff and bartenders with upkeep of tables and service areas. When a party departs, a busser removes dirty dishes, sanitizes the table, cleans the seats and tidies up the surrounding floor/table area.ResponsibilitiesRemove used/unnecessary plates while guests are still seated at the tableRemove extra place settings at the table or provide any additional settings as neededPrepare tables for the next round of service by removing all plates and glassesSanitize the table and surrounding area for its next turnReset place settings: complete with silverware, water glasses, and bread plate, etc.Restock and assist with maintenance of expo/servers' stations, glass washing area, etc.Empty trash containers and dirty dish receptaclesAssist with refilling ice for bar service stationSkillsStrong customer service skills and pleasant rapport with dining guestsSolid communication skillsGood sense of menu itemsWorking ConditionsBe able to walk, stand, bend, twist, move around for the entire duration of the scheduled shiftBe able to lift or carry up to 15 lbs.Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferredPrior restaurant experience is a plus but not required
