JOB SUMMARY: This person will play a critical role in ensuring the successful migration of financial data from one ERP system to another. The ideal candidate will oversee the data migration process, reconcile account balances post-migration, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the system meets all business requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with ERP systems, and a proven track record in managing data migrations and UAT processes. This role is a hybrid position with travel to the office in Los Angeles 2-3 days per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Load financial data into the provided utility tool and work closely with 3rd party technical implementors to ensure accurate data import into the new ERP system. Monitor the data import process, address any issues that arise, and ensure the integrity of the migrated data. Document the data loading and migration process thoroughly, ensuring transparency and accuracy. Perform initial reconciliations of trial balances post-import, comparing them against final QuickBooks reports. Conduct detailed account-level reconciliations to ensure all balances have been accurately transferred to the new ERP system. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in account balances, working with the technical team as needed. Prepare and present reconciliation reports for review and sign-off by the CFO and relevant stakeholders. Develop and coordinate UAT scripts in collaboration with end-users to cover all critical business processes. Guide users through the UAT process, ensuring they understand the testing procedures and objectives. Monitor UAT results, document findings, and work with the technical team to resolve any issues that arise. Obtain final sign-off on UAT from users and the CFO, ensuring the system is ready for go-live. Perform a final review of the system post-migration to ensure all data and processes are functioning correctly. Provide ongoing support to users as they transition to using the new ERP system, addressing any questions or issues promptly. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems related field. 5+ years of functional experience in data migration and integration with ERP systems, preferably within a publicly traded company. Proven experience in managing ERP data migrations. Strong accounting knowledge, with experience in reconciling account balances during system migrations. Hands-on experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including script development and issue resolution. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between technical teams and financial users. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
