The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Analyst III to join a leading energy firm in Houston. This role is critical to maintaining volumetric accuracy and inventory integrity across our Renewables or Heavy Oil sectors, ensuring that large-scale data movements are captured precisely within our ERP systems to support real-time business decisions. Primary Responsibilities Inventory Oversight: Monitor and verify all product movement transactions in SAP S4 to ensure alignment with accounting standards. Data Analysis: Execute routine reports to monitor inventory builds/draws and analyze data sets to ensure accuracy throughout the month. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Schedulers, Traders, and offshore managed service providers to ensure trade positions are accurately reflected in accounting records. Problem Resolution: Resolve complex Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) requests and troubleshoot nominations that do not result in the intended inventory effect. Reporting & Strategy: Prepare reconciliation summaries for management and track recurring trends to develop long-term solutions for inventory accuracy. Operational Support: Identify process improvements in scheduling tactics and provide direct support during high-intensity periods, such as month-end close. Candidate Requirements Must-haves: Industry Expertise: 5+ years of experience in a similar analytical or scheduling role within the Oil & Gas industry. Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills and professional experience navigating SAP (S4 experience preferred). Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to organize and digest large quantities of complex data. Professionalism: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize demands from multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment. Nice-to-haves: Direct experience with Renewables (Feedstocks/Sustainable Aviation Product) or Heavies (Fuel Oil/Feedstocks). 2+ years of experience specifically as a Scheduler. Strong background in running financial and inventory reports within SAP. Project Environment This position offers a one-year contract to support a major inventory initiative for a premier energy client. Based at the Houston HQ, this role provides a professional and grounded culture with a hybrid work schedule (one day remote per week) following the completion of initial onsite training. xywuqvp Logistics: Location: Houston, TX Schedule: 5 days onsite during training; 4 days onsite/1 day remote thereafter.
