American Traveler is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in Columbus, Georgia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Nuclear Medicine TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: ASAPDuration: 12 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Apr 27, 2026Length: 12 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) certification for a day-shift contract position.DetailsHospital-based Nuclear Medicine departmentPatient population spans pediatrics through geriatricsProcedures include HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying, brain death studies, myocardial perfusion SPECT, I-123 scan/uptake, I-131 whole body scan, I-131 ablations (<30 mCi), renal scans w/ or w/o Lasix, and parathyroid studiesEMR system is Epic; also uses Pyxis and PACS (all required)5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PMNo routine weekend shifts; weekends may be required for call coverageCall coverage: Mon–Fri 4:00–10:00 PM and Sat–Sun 8:00 AM–10:00 PM, approximately 1–2 days per week and every fourth weekendMay be required to float to a sister campus to perform STAT inpatient studiesRequirementsMinimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experienceActive NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) certification requiredProficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and PACS requiredExperience with a full range of nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT imaging, thyroid studies, and diagnostic scansLicense required if applicableAdditional InformationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyLocal candidates are acceptedRTO is capped at 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignmentIf one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approvalMajor holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's DayTravelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a travelerNo alternate shift or scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firmScrub colors required: black, gray, or purpleTwo supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for considerationCandidates undergo a clinical screening process prior to manager reviewAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-693198.
