Java FullStack/Backend Developer

Full Stack / Backend Java Developer (Spring Boot & DevOps) NY/ NJ/ DE (onsite at any location) Position Summary We are looking for a skilled Java / Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, enterprise-grade Spring Boot microservices and clean API integrations.Beyond core application development, we are looking for a candidate with strong hands-on experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to help automate building, testing, and deploying our services into cloud environments (AWS). Key Responsibilities Core Java Development: Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend microservices using Java (8+) and Spring Boot. API Engineering: Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs/web services with proper handling of high-concurrency traffic and error scenarios. CI/CD & DevOps Automation: Create and manage automated build/deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Containerization & Deployment: Package microservices using Docker and manage cloud deployments on AWS. System Optimization: Optimize application performance, database queries, and memory usage for high-throughput, high-concurrency systems. Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional development teams, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth production releases. Required Skills & Qualifications Java & Spring Boot: Production experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA. Microservices Architecture: Proven experience building, maintaining, and debugging decoupled microservice applications. DevOps & CI/CD (Crucial): Hands-on experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or harness). API Integration: Strong experience in RESTful web services, JSON payload processing, and API authentication standards (OAuth2, JWT). AWS Exposure: Basic-to-intermediate experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, or ECS). Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour Work Location: In person
