BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHGENERAL SUMMARYThe purpose of this job is to maintain the grounds and buildings of county facilities. Maintains, repairs, rebuilds, and services small equipment as needed. Performs groundskeeping work and repairs to maintain the grounds of facilities and buildings. Conducts electrical and HVAC repairs. Prepares infrastructures for painting or remodeling.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains County buildings and grounds; identifies and addresses concerns with structures, systems, and equipment.Completes facility maintenance work requests and repairs.Maintains heating and cooling systems, lighting fixtures, plumbing, and office waste.Performs lawn care, including mowing, gardening, weeding, and picking up trash.Conducts building checks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facilities systems.Prepares structures for painting or remodeling.Completes construction and demolition activities safely.Delivers and transports supplies, packages, hazardous materials, and other items.Prioritizes work orders and requests; collaborates with management to develop project schedules.Provides customer service to County employees and citizens.Complete annual training for Asbestos Awareness, PPE, bloodborne pathogens, heavy equipment, and chemical applications.Performs related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma (or GED equivalent)1 to 3 years of related work experience, such as a residential or commercial custodian or landscaperAny equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilitiesRequired Licenses or CertificationsNoneStarting Salary: $18.98Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.Position : 10457012Code : 26056-1Type : INTERNAL & EXTERNALJob Family : FACILITIESPosting Start : 04/23/2026Posting End : 12/31/9999Details : BENEFITS INFORMATION
