Apply via Dice today!Data Analyst6 month contract onlyWork Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite Mon-Thurs)Rate: $20/hr on W-2Reason for position:Acquired Marriott Hotels as new businessNeed additional help, driven by increase in data team will manageDeliverables/deadlines starting Jan 1Day-to-day:Linking data or "mapping"Ex: Tyson chicken breast must be linked to Tyson chicken breast in internal systemManage new items coming in/creating new items and making the linkage happenOnce link happens, automation kicks in "auto mapping" for any future items that matchMust be:Comfortable in excelHave attention to detailComfortable navigating in PowerBI dashboardJob SummaryThe Data Analyst-Catalog Management Specialist is responsible for the complete and accurate maintenance and association of master data used to support the Foodbuy revenue tracking model.Responsibilities:Set-up and implementation of manufacturer catalogs and items in accordance with master data standardsProcess and create linkages between distributor data and manufacturer catalog information to achieve the highest percentage of associated manufacturers, customer and item level dataMaintenance of category/subcategory structureEnsure accuracy and completeness of item attributesIdentify duplicate and inaccurate data within Manufacturer Catalogs and process requests for correctionPresent findings to management and solicit feedback via formal/informal communicationDemonstrate comprehensive understanding of invoice/transactional reporting processResolve customer challenges, ad-hoc requests, and concernsGenerate and maintain reports used for analysis and management of daily workloadFormulate new methodologies to drive efficiencies and increase customer data captureEnsure that all dealings with suppliers, clients, and internal personnel are carried out ethically and professionallyOngoing manufacturer relationshipsOther duties as required Qualifications:Completion of undergraduate degree and/or equivalent business experience requiredWorking knowledge of MS Office SuiteIntermediate knowledge of rebate / contract management technologyFinancial or trend analysis experienceSupplier and customer interaction experiencePurchasing/procurement experienceDistribution or foodservice experienceMinimal travel required (typically to the Corporate office in Charlotte)Detail-orientedAnalytical problem solvingFlexible/Adapts well to changeCollaborative works well as a member of a teamStrong verbal and written communications skillsCustomer service focusInnovativeHigh level of Integrity and Ethics
