Senior Accountant - Implementation Project - REMOTE

Senior Accountant Amarillo, TX Great growth opportunity working closely with the CEO A well-established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team in Amarillo, TX. This individual will play a key role in financial reporting, cost accounting, and supporting operational decision-making within a hands-on production environment. This is a highly visible role with strong interaction across finance, operations, and engineering. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Support and analyze cost accounting activities , including inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis Partner closely with plant operations on inventory controls, cycle counts, and production cost analysis Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Maintain and optimize accounting records within QuickBooks Support audit processes and maintain accurate documentation Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Provide actionable financial insights to support business decisions Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership teams Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field ~5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, cost analysis, or manufacturing finance ~ Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting concepts ~ Strong understanding of financial reporting and/or operational cost drivers ~ Advanced Excel skills ~ CPA or CPA-track is a plus, but not required
