The individual will work under the guidance of the US Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and SAIC scientists to build, operate, and repair electrical control system. This will be an intern position based at the Air Force Research Laboratory, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas.ResponsibilitiesOperate, repair, and maintain a variety of integrated control systems for laser based experimentsDevelop electronic and optoelectronic control systems for precise delivery of laser energy.Interface with Principle Investigators to determine priority tasksProvide regular updates to principle investigators on project progressPresent work at an end of summer workshopQualificationsCurrently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a program working toward a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineeringAbility to independently learn and develop new skillsDesired QualificationsClasswork and/or practical experience with electrical circuitsSoftware development experience
