The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that support organizational goals. This role works closely with leadership and multiple departments to help ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within scope. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage special projects from initiation through completion.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop project plans, timelines, and tracking systems to maintain progress and accountability.
Monitor project status, identify risks, and proactively implement solutions.
Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and document key outcomes and next steps.
Serve as a central point of communication across departments involved in special initiatives.
Analyze data and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
Ensure alignment of projects with organizational goals, policies, and priorities.
Assist with process improvement efforts and organizational initiatives.
Support leadership with ad hoc projects and strategic assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, or administrative roles
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands
Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Experience working cross-functionally in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting executive-level projects or strategic initiatives
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
Experience with data analysis or reporting tools
Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is a plus
