The firm averages $9 billion in transaction volume, manages more than 54 million square feet of space, and conducts 2,700 appraisal, consulting, and cost segregation assignments annually.Job SummaryIn partnership with the Assistant Controller, the Accounting & Transition Manager will lead a team that fulfills the financial and reporting requirements of Kidder Mathews’ property management clients. The Accounting & Transition Manager will ensure a high level of accuracy and professionalism regarding all portfolio financial requirements as specified by the property management agreement. In addition, this position will work with new and existing clients, property management teams, and the property accounting team to onboard and offboard properties in an accurate and timely manner. The Accounting & Transition Manager provides leadership, mentorship, coaching and direction to the designated accounting team, ensuring standardized practices and protocols and enhancing quality control and oversight.Essential FunctionsManage and lead a team of Accounting Associates, Associate Property Accountants, Property Accountants and Sr. Property Accountants including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, scheduling, training, development, evaluation, and disciplinary action of employees Manage client lifecycle processes including onboarding and off boarding of clients. Be focal point to ensure all activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner including liaison with all internal and external clientsMaintain Avid, Clickpay, and other applications that support the property accounting function, including ensuring file master data creation and changes are conducted in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure all file imports and exports that support the accounting function are conducted in an accurate and timely mannerProvide coaching, direction and leadership to employees in order to achieve company and client resultsManage new accounting, operations and other initiatives, including new process development, implementation and monitoringManage and maintain the integrity of tenant data in property management accounting systemEnsure accuracy and approve timecards and time off requests for direct reportsPromote and maintain a positive working environment in alignment with Kidder Mathews values Other FunctionsPerform other duties or projects as requested or requiredEssential Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
