This role plays a key part in managing the operational and financial execution of Turn-Key and EPC electrical projects, with a particular focus on high-voltage infrastructure. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy leading field teams through all stages of construction, this opportunity is for you.What You’ll DoLead the field execution of large utility-scale Turn-Key and EPC projectsServe as the primary site contact for client project teams throughout constructionEnsure implementation of Project Execution Plans and manage quality to minimize reworkParticipate in early project planning and enforce adherence to schedules for construction, testing, and commissioningSupport the Project Manager in staffing and resource planning for craft and field teamsOversee the selection of tools, materials, and equipment while controlling delivery timelines and costFoster a proactive safety culture and ensure adherence to RMS Energy’s safety programManage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure contract compliance and quality outcomesConduct QA and safety inspections; verify proper use of equipment and safe conditionsTroubleshoot issues and gain consensus on solutions to delays or disruptionsResolve disputes with subs, vendors, or clients to maintain workflowAssist in contingency planning and scheduling to meet deadlinesKeep the Project Manager informed on status updates related to safety, quality, risk, and team supportCollaborate with the PM on construction budgets, productivity tracking, and schedulingContribute to monthly forecasting and reportingLead post-project evaluations to identify lessons learnedTrack and mitigate recurring field execution issuesThe Experience We’re Looking For10+ years managing field construction for utility-scale generation projects, including high-voltage infrastructureDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional site teams and subcontractorsStrong customer service orientation and experience in presenting to stakeholdersProven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budgetSkilled in construction scheduling, forecasting, and productivity trackingProficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management toolsExperience coordinating with project management, engineering, and field operationsStrong understanding of QA/QC practices, risk mitigation, and complianceAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel up to 60% across the U.S.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordMust successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug testsAvailable for extended and irregular hours as neededAble to work outdoors in all weather, at heights (100+ ft), and around high-voltage equipment and heavy machineryPhysically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and enduring sustained physical activityMust have clear vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe and effective communicationBonus Points ForPMP certification or other project management credentialsPrior experience managing electrical construction projects in government (state/federal) contractsBackground in utility substation, transmission line, or switchyard constructionExperience with scenario-based planning and alternative work strategiesFamiliarity with preconstruction document control and field productivity reporting toolsWhy Join RMS EnergyWe’re not just another power services company.
