Endoscopy Technician

Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic proceduresPrepare patients for procedures as directed by the care teamTransport patients to and from procedure rooms as neededPrepare endoscopy suites according to patient, physician, and procedure requirementsAssemble, test, and maintain properly functioning equipment, instruments, and suppliesClean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes, instruments, and equipment according to manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) and Center policiesPerform between-case cleaning and daily terminal cleaning of procedure rooms and endoscopy suitesPractice appropriate aseptic technique and follow sterile processes required in the endoscopy settingWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and observe universal precautions at all timesAssist with maintaining adequate inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipmentRestock rooms and support cost-effective, efficient use of suppliesSupport efficient room turnover to optimize patient flowPromote patient and physician satisfaction through professionalism, communication, and teamworkProactively participate in Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement (QAPI), and Safety ProgramsCommunicate safety concerns promptly using the Chain of CommandDemonstrate knowledge of and adherence to the Center's Code of ConductComply with all Center policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsDocument information legibly and accurately as requiredAttend required education, in-services, staff meetings, and continuing educationMaintain regular and predictable attendancePerform other duties as assignedPhysical & Work Environment ExpectationsAbility to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 poundsAbility to assist with patient transport and positioningAbility to perform repetitive tasks and sustained physical activityManual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordinationWork in a climate-controlled procedural environment with occasional reduced lightingExposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, cleaning chemicals, and disinfectantsWork in close proximity to patients, providers, and team membersNoise level typically quiet to moderate Ability to stand, walk, and move for 6-8 hours per day Days and hours may vary based on patient and Center needsEqual Opportunity Employer
