Fire Alarm Technician

Job Title : USA_Site Installation Technician Shift: 6am-2pm Contract: 3 months Contract with a possibility of extension Location : Fremont California 94538 Job Description : Responsibilities: • Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction sites. • Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress. • Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement. • Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs. • Identify code and non-conformance issues. • Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader. • Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material. • Submit accurate time and expense logs. • Work overtime when needed. • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred • Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents • Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers • Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 15 months • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) • Good verbal and written communication skills in English • Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States • Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Benefits: • Company cell phone and laptop • Mileage reimbursement for site-to-site travel • Extensive professional career development • Eligible for company Vehicle Assignment w/ Gas card after 6-12 month SR-R3 Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $25 - $27 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
