Job Description RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.This is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.Mechanical Engineer - Engine and Cooling SystemsThis position will be responsible for the testing and development of engine & cooling components and systems for construction & forestry equipment. These designs primarily include hoses, tubes, cooling packages, etc. but could also include electrical, hydraulic, structures, or other machine componentry. This role involves working closely with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to develop and improve efficient, robust, and cost-effective solutions.ResponsibilitiesCreate models and prints utilizing proper model-based definition methods and GD&TCreation and support of 2D drawings and specification documentationSupport the factory with both durability and production buildsProvide technical guidance and problem resolutionReview, understand, and interpret specificationsCommunicate project details across all levels of the organizationManage multiple tasks and projects with different product groupsRequirementsBachelors of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering or related degree2+ years of demonstrated product design or relevant mechanical engineering experienceProficient in 3D Modeling software (Creo Preferred)Excellent communication both written and verbalDemonstrated ability to complete projects with minimal oversightStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independentlyDesired SkillsExperience working with engine & cooling designs, including welding and paint processesStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbiesAbility to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective actionDesign experience with off-road mobile equipment, ideally crawlersStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitmentsKnowledge and application of GD&T standards (trainable)Previous experience identifying and leading projectsExperience operating off-road mobile equipmentPrevious experience with Windchill or PDMLinkStrong communication and facilitation skillsAbility to thrive in a team environmentVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.Pay Range: $60,000-$80,000 – Commensurate with experienceAbout RFA EngineeringRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
