Education Aide
Job Type: Full Time - Monday to Friday - 7:30am - 3:30pmRequirements:Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience working with children with behavioral challenges preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications. Job Summary:The Education Aide provides direct support to students within an educational setting, assisting teachers in creating a structured and positive classroom environment that fosters individualized academic and behavioral growth. This role collaborates with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans, behavior strategies, and instructional supports. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documentation, preparation of educational materials, and active participation in team meetings. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage challenging behaviors, and a commitment to professional development and agency standards.Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized and small-group academic and behavioral support to studentsAssist teachers in implementing lesson plans, classroom expectations, and structured teaching strategiesSupport classroom management and act as substitute teacher when neededComplete required documentation, including strategy sheets, assessments, incident reports, and progress trackersContribute to student records such as IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior PlansParticipate in treatment team planning and maintain familiarity with student case recordsCommunicate weekly with parents/guardians regarding student progressCollaborate with teachers, agency staff, and external professionals to ensure student needs are metRepresent the agency professionally in all interactions and participate in meetings and committeesProvide crisis intervention, including de-escalation, seclusion, and restraintsImplement individualized treatment plans and motivation systemsPromote safe, age-appropriate environments and model positive social and coping skillsAttend required training (crisis intervention, CPR, First Aid) and maintain TFM certificationParticipate in professional seminars and accept feedback for growthEnsure compliance with agency standards and quality assurance measuresCompensation & Benefits:Associate's degree $18/hr and goes up depending on experienceBachelor's degree starts at $19.50/hr and goes up depending on experienceMaster's degree starts at $21/hr and goes up depending on experienceFull benefits package includes:Health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement planTuition assistancePublic Loan Forgiveness eligibilityPaid time off and holidaysWeekly licensure supervisionCompany-issued iPhone and laptopMileage reimbursementWork Environment:Exposed to a combination of office, school, and mental health treatment environments.
