WFAI has experienced phenomenal development, as our family expands, we stand by our core values, which include integrity, excellence, trust, caring, tradition and innovation.LOCATION: This position is based in our Boulder Creek office as the Medical Assistant but may be required to travel to other locations within your assigned geographic region.REPORTS TO: Practice Operations ManagerPOSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for a Medical Assistant to work alongside the physician and assist with patient care. This includes taking basic vital signs, preparing the room, verifying patient information, assisting with in-office procedures, and scheduling the patient's next appointment. The Medical Assistant will also help manage the patient's schedule and assist with office duties.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInterview patients to gather medical history and update medical recordsGather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulsePrepare treatment rooms and patients for examSterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure traysManage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventoryTake x-raysPerform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ CRITICAL SKILLSHigh school diploma or GED required2 years in a healthcare field preferred.Basic knowledge of computers and office equipmentPossess good communication and strong customer service skillsSelf-directed and willing to take initiativePatient-focusedProven ability to prioritize and organizeCommitted to continuous performance improvementCapability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment SCHEDULINGA typical schedule for this Medical Assistant is Monday to Friday TRAVEL: Local travel may be required to locations within your assigned geographic region. This role will be assigned to cover a geographic area; however, you may be required to occasionally travel outside of your assigned regional area to support the other regional coverage needs of the organization.
