Rotating schedules will be required for Friday evenings and Saturdays. Student Assistants will be expected to provide excellent customer service, calibrate virtual reality (VR) equipment and systems, and quality-test virtual reality (VR) experiences. Assistants must be outgoing, upbeat and eager to provide participants with exceptional experiences.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Ensure impactful and memorable VR experiences for students and guestsProvide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for allCarry out daily operations in the Center for Immersive LearningProvide extended periods of focused attention on time-sensitive tasksGuide participants through virtual reality experiences from beginning to endAssist students and guests with putting on and taking off VR gear, giving directions in a clear and friendly mannerAssist in troubleshooting VR equipmentAssist CIL staff with special operations and research projectsIdentify when issues need escalation, and report issues appropriately and in a timely mannerPerform regular testing and maintenance of all virtual reality equipmentClean and reset all VR equipment between usesOperate events on the CIL schedule, including assisting participantsEnsure appropriate opening and closing procedures in the Dreamscape Learn facilityEnsure health and safety guidelines are followed to school standardsMust be available to work Friday evenings and Saturdays periodicallyEducation And ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent (some post-secondary education in technology, education, or related field preferred)Excellent customer service experiencePhysical RequirementsNormal physical job functions performed in a standard office environment.
