Staff Pharmacist

Staff PharmacistWe're looking for staff pharmacists who are driven to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and accuracy of medication use within a hospital setting. In this role, you'll evaluate medication orders, participate in the preparation and distribution of medications (including chemotherapy and infusions), and provide guidance to patients and healthcare staff. You'll also take a leadership role during urgent situations and help enforce hospital pharmacy policies in compliance with regulatory standards.We welcome applicants who are reliable, quick learners with sound clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.Key responsibilities include:Evaluate inpatient medication orders for appropriateness and safetyPrepare, compound, label, and dispense medications, including IVs and chemotherapyProvide clear medication guidance to staff and patientsRespond to emergencies and support clinical teams with medication decisionsFollow state, federal, and hospital pharmacy policies and proceduresCollaborative teamwork is essential in this role, working with nurses, providers, and fellow pharmacists to support safe, effective patient care.Qualifications include:Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacyCurrent California pharmacist licenseOne year of recent hospital experience or recent graduate (within 2 years) from an accredited programFamiliarity with IV admixtures, drug dosing, pharmacology, and toxicologyAbility to manage time and respond effectively in high-pressure situationsKnowledge of hazardous medication handling, including chemotherapyWillingness and ability to learn and adapt quicklyStrong team player with clear communication skillsMust be able to put into practice service excellence skills with patients, families, coworkers, and the communityBenefits you'll enjoy:None (part-time position)Welcome to RRH:Established for 60 years, RRH is a non-profit, full-service hospital with 25 inpatient beds, a 99-bed skilled nursing facility, clinics, and other outpatient services.
