Terminal Operator

OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Terminal Operator to join our team in Bristol, VA. This position will be responsible for successfully perform the day-to-day terminal operations and maintenance.ResponsibilitiesLoads tanker trucks according to job orders and in a manner to minimize spillage and dustOffload rail cars in a manner to minimize spillage, dust and contaminationOperates small equipment such as bobcats, forklifts, loadersDiagnoses cause of equipment or plant malfunction to determine root cause of problemRepairs plant and equipment, including compressors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, etc. with limited supervisionMaintains grounds to include mowing, landscaping, snow and ice removal, etcMay make minor electrical repairsMakes recommendations to appropriate plant personnel in a timely manner to prevent recurrence of problemsPerforms all work in a manner to maximize production amounts and qualityMaintains safe and clean work areaOperates hand-help radio according to company policy and FCC regulationsCommunicates verbally with all plant personnelPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMust possess excellent communication skillsMust have knowledge of plant operating systemsMust have knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenanceMust have good computer skillsPhysical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting to 50 lbsMust be able to work nights and weekends when needed
