The AI Engineer II will design, build, and deliver production-grade generative AI applicationsthat solve real business problems across innovation and pilot initiatives. This role is highlyhands-on and ownership-driven, with responsibility spanning concept, architecture,implementation, and production deployment.You will operate with a high degree of independence, acting as an end-to-end engineer whotranslates business needs into scalable GenAI solutions. The role emphasizes applicationengineering, system design, and enterprise readiness, rather than traditional data scienceor model training.Technologies of interest include (but are not limited to): large language models (LLMs),automation, cloud platforms, agentic workflows, solar PV, energy storage, transmission,and wind.Key Responsibilities• Design and deliver generative AI applications that address real operational andbusiness challenges, from concept through production• Translate business requirements into GenAI system architectures, selectingappropriate models, tools, and integration patterns• Build and maintain full-stack applications, including LLM-powered tools, internalplatforms, and APIs• Implement LLM integrations using approaches such as RAG, prompt engineering,tool calling, and API-based workflows• Balance rapid experimentation with enterprise-grade reliability, security, andgovernance• Apply DevOps best practices to support CI/CD, monitoring, and scalable clouddeployments• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders while owning technicalexecution independently• Evaluate and prototype emerging GenAI tools and platforms for potential businessimpact• Clearly communicate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations to nontechnicalstakeholders• Stay current with evolving GenAI capabilities, internal initiatives, and industry trendsPay Rate: $40-50hr depending on experienceWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
