Locums position Hematology/ Oncology Marquette MI Scheduled Clinic and CallBoth In and OutpatientDates:Looking to start in November. Call can be performed via phoneOffice with EMRGenetic counselor available onsiteWeekly tumor boardStrong primary careTumor registry with 2 CTRsResearch department with 1 dedicated research associate for oncologyPhysical location shared with radiation oncology with shared waiting areaStaffed with 10 RNs, 2 navigators (breast/colon and lung cancer patients), 1 pharmacist, 1 pharm tech, 1 lab tech with lab draws in office, 1 office manager, 1 clinical director (shared with radiation oncology), 1 social worker, 2 financial counselors, 6 clerical staff, 1 program director; (shared with rad/onc, tumor registry, and research)Program holds American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and American College of Radiology Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation (ACR ROPA) accreditations. Office PracticeEach provider is assigned to three rooms. Patients are roomed by an RN and comprehensive assessments are performed. A Triage nurse handles all incoming clinical calls. The office is open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Providers usually see patients from 8:00 am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Patients are generally booked at 60 minute new patient consults, 15-30 minute follow ups. Providers should be comfortable seeing on average 20 to 25 patients per day.RoundingRounding of inpatients that are current patient of the practice is typically done by the APPs. Patients are admitted by the hospitalist group and oncology is consulted as needed. Practice is 99% outpatient and no inductions are completed at the facility.
