Jackson County Employment OpportunityAbout usJackson County Roads Department is looking to hire 15 Extra Help Road Maintenance Workers to join our positive, highly motivated, and dedicated Road Maintenance Division. These positions are six-month seasonal positions.The jobDo you enjoy working outdoors and somewhere new almost every day? We are looking for new team members who have a real desire to make a difference. We work throughout Southern Oregon and its surrounding areas, with large projects scheduled for this summer. We do most of our training in-house, with certified flagger training on the first day. Although these are seasonal positions, they do give you the opportunity to show us your interest, abilities, and allow you to become more familiar with the work we do and the equipment we use. Where We Are LocatedSouthern Oregon is one of the most beautiful areas of the Pacific Northwest and we are located in Jackson County, Oregon. With moderate weather and temperatures, we have breathtaking mountains in a region featuring world-class outdoor recreation opportunities, including Crater Lake National Park and the Oregon Coast. We are a diverse county consisting of 11 incorporated cities and numerous unincorporated communities, covering many miles of land, forests, rivers and lakes. ScheduleMonday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Hours/days may change as the season progresses.Starting Salary$20.16 per hour (depending on experience).
