Advise on legal aspects of Alibaba Cloud’s international expansion, key focus is on ensuring compliance and leading compliance projects as well as commercial contract and negotiation support for North and South America region. Provide advice to business teams on legal aspects of new business models and strategies, business operations and marketing activities. Negotiate, draft and review contracts and commercial agreements. Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative ways and address risks with flexible solutions.Job Requirements Legal qualification to practice in US jurisdiction. 8-15 years post-qualification experience at a law firm and/or corporation. Technology sector experience or technology education background would be a plus. Sincere interest in technology, innovation and business. Highly motivated, have a strong sense of ownership, are inquisitive and enthusiastic about technology, and can demonstrate sound judgement in ambiguous situations. High integrity and sincere desire to collaborate with others.The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $152,400/year and $251,400/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
