Job DescriptionJohnson Service Group is seeking a Lead for Materials within the Manufacturing area at one of our clients focused on the data center solutions industry for contract positions that may go full time based on performance.This position is "hands-on" and results driven with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment.Dayshift: 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Payrate $25.00 Graveyard Shift: 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Payrate $29Responsibilities:Participating in shift start-up meetings with your department team Communicate current priorities and targets, any ongoing issues, process updates, expectations, quality goals and any additional relevant information pertaining to your department Attend daily recap production/shipping meeting when Supervisor is not present Direct hourly employees and assigns and coordinates daily production activities Determines and may develop methods and procedures to improve productivity and quality Always Utilize efficient and effective Flow process of WIP Prepare daily productivity reports. Evaluate issues and potential problems proactively in a timely manner Ensure 5S housekeeping duties are assigned and completed daily Maintain open communication with hourly reports regarding goals and accomplishments Monitor department KPI's for results and trends Develop contingencies and short-term processes as needed Identify bottlenecks that affect area goals or standards Develop hourly employees through training, coaching and mentoringQualifications:Advanced understanding and adherence to manufacturing documentation (MPI). Skills to train employees in department MPI (Manufacturing Process Instruction) documents Advanced computer skills with beginning to intermediate skill level (knowledge) in excel Works on assignments that are primarily complex in nature. Considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Must be able to effectively work within a team environment. May lead and provide guidance to lower-level nonexempt associates. Viewed as an expert in job assignments and related tasks. Promote healthy working relationships Give and receive constructive feedback Promote quality work coupled with a sense of urgency Praise good work and communication skills and areas of improvement.
