This internship will be based out of our Headquarters located in downtown Austin, TX and offers a flexible work schedule of 30-40 hours per week. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment and receive mentorship from experienced accounting and finance professionals while supporting projects and accounting activities. Successful completion of an internship with Asure will provide potential for future employment opportunities after graduation.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with monthly reconciliations of revenue, expenses, and cash transactionsSupport the billing and revenue recognition process for subscription-based HR software and servicesHelp manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy in vendor and client paymentsPrepare journal entries and assist in financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAPAnalyze customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606 (SaaS revenue rules)Work with the Finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate financial reportingAssist with compliance, audits, and tax-related projectsContribute to ad-hoc financial projects that impact the businessQualifications and Requirements:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science or a related fieldBasic understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and reconciliationsInterest in the Human Capital Management industry and supporting a Publicly Traded organizationProficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.); experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or other accounting software is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, tech-driven environmentPassion for HR Tech and financial processes supporting workforce management solutionsWhat You’ll Gain:Hands-on experience with accounting and financial operationsExposure to subscription revenue models and financial reporting in a high-growth industryMentorship from finance and accounting professionals in the SaaS spaceOpportunity to work on projects that impact HR and payroll automation solutionsOur MissionTo provide Human Capital Management (HCM) software and services that help companies grow, while nurturing a culture of growth around us.Helping customers grow by getting the most from their human capital.
