Fabricator - 1st shift

Job Description1st Shift: 6:30am to 3pm Monday through FridayPay: $19/hourSummary:The Fabricator is responsible for setting up the fabrication and assembly of plastic products, applying knowledge of plastic cutting, bending and bonding techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, machines and equipment in order to produce parts on time and according to specifications.Essential Responsibilities:Sets up and operates strip heaters and or press brake for bendingSets up and operates drill presses, for drilling, countersinking, and taping operationsSets up and operates table routers and sawsFrequently uses hand and power toolsSets up and heats parts using oven or heat gunFits and assembles parts and attaches hardware and fittings using clamps, jigs, fixtures, power tools and fastenersApplies adhesives to assemblies for subsequent bondingSanding, buffing, polishing and cleaning of productReads and interprets blueprints, work orders and related documents to determine methods and sequence of operations, dimensional and finish specificationsEnsures safety of themselves and coworkers by keeping their work area cleanPerform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications:High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to utilize measuring equipmentAble to read and understand verbal and written direction to include following work instructions and set-up proceduresBasic computer skills
