Purchasing Agent

About the Role BoxHouse is seeking a detail oriented and dependable Purchasing Agent to support vendor coordination, purchase order processing, and material tracking for our fast growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who brings a positive attitude, adapts quickly to changes, and maintains strong focus in a fast-paced environment. You will work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring all purchasing activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter, update, and maintain vendor information Create, submit, and process purchase orders with a high level of precision Ensure all purchases comply with BoxHouse purchasing policies and approval workflows Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, order details, and delivery timelines Track orders, maintain documentation, and help resolve discrepancies or delays Support internal teams by providing updates on order status and material availability Assist with evolving purchasing and operational needs as the business grows Adapt to shifting priorities and take on additional purchasing tasks when required Qualifications & Skills Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Reliable, positive, and adaptable attitude Strong focus and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Comfortable working independently and collaboratively Experience with POs, procurement, or ERP systems is a plus (not required) Strong communication skills and willingness to learn What We’re Looking For A team member who takes ownership and pride in producing accurate, high quality work Someone who contributes to a positive culture and supports others A flexible problem solver who adjusts well as priorities shift An individual committed to following processes, maintaining compliance, and improving efficiency Salary Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications
