Bookkeeper - Part Time
Job Summary
We are a small, growing manufacturer of custom piping components seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions and supporting order entry operations. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a small business environment where accuracy and flexibility matter.
Key Responsibilities
Recently familiar with Sage 50 software
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing and customer payments
Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including vendor bills and payments
Process payroll, including employee hours, withholdings, and reporting
Prepare and file tax-related documents, including payroll taxes and sales tax filings
Perform order entry, ensuring accuracy and coordination with production and sales
Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
Assist with basic financial reporting and support management as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Strong understanding of AR, AP, payroll, and tax filings
Experience with accounting software (Sage 50)
Comfortable working with order entry and basic operational data
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Experience in a manufacturing or small business environment is a plus
