Job Summary: The primary objective of the Supervisor IT Infrastructure is to drive the infrastructure team to achieve optimal performance and efficiency through the utilization of dashboards, support and coaching. You will play a key role in the development of our technical staff and will mentor/coach a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize their efficiency. The Supervisor should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of systems/network administration and architecture and constantly expand your knowledge of best practices. You should have a well-versed technical background and have demonstrated leadership responsibilities. Ideal applicants will need to have a strong, credible hands-on Microsoft focused background, ideally with experience of some Linux administration and a genuine passion for technology and making things better. Essential Responsibilities/Activities: Provides leadership for the Infrastructure team members and responsible for the installation and maintenance of all network and data center operations. Leads the procurement, installation, disaster recovery planning, and maintenance of all network and data center equipment and related software. Documents network and server architectures where missing. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the server and network infrastructure team members. Works with engineers and technicians as necessary to resolve escalated deficiencies in infrastructure by troubleshooting with them. Mentors, coaches, and developsteam members. Works within the established IT processes and procedures for compliance and change control. Plans, designs, and implements data connectivity for the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless LAN. Communicates and sets expectations with end-users as needed while also being the first line of escalation for any customer related issues. Coordinates and implements special projects including network-related wiring plans. Work in tandem with team to plan customer facing projects according to the scope of work. Maintains documentation including hardware/software configuration information. Provides after-hours escalated support when called upon. Reviews budgets on a continual basis, identifiesareas of opportunity and implements necessary improvements to achieve profit expectations. Provides technical consultation to internal business partners. Participates in domain architecture governance to identify and design the future state. Education and Experience Requirements: 5 years ofexperience in Information Systems / Network Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience with architecture and design of large-scale local area, wide area, and wireless networks. Experience managing networking in a virtual server environment. Supervisory and leadership experience. Experience with structured cabling best practices and procedures. Experience with SD-WAN solutions, including implementation, maintenance and best practices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of server and network security practices and procedures. Strong understanding of Azure Cloud Security practices and procedures. Strong sense of urgency and efficiency. Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN practices and procedures for identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues. Strong technical documentation skills and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet project and department deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of data center, core network technologies, access control systems and firewalls. Determines the best course of action to improve performance and efficiency of applications. Understands and completes proper processes when installing software and upgrades. Customer focused, service, support and result driven. Excellent communication skills and able to communicate technical matters to non-technical business personnel. Continuous improvement mindset. Able to drive, steer and convince others (influencing without power). Able to build strong networks. Cultural awareness.
