Position description: The Maintenance Foreman must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of Landscape Maintenance to include property cleanups, mowing, mulching, pruning, trimming, edging, weed control, flower/bed maintenance, fertilizing, snow removal-plowing, ice melt application, hand shoveling etc.; Foreman is able to operate all equipment to include mowers, skid steer, pick-up truck, UTV, tractors, trenchers. Interface professionally with customers, co-workers, subcontractors, public and suppliers. Position is full time, year-round and requires minimal supervision. Required to perform all functions in a safe manner, while directing a crew of two to eight employees. The Maintenance Foreman must also attend to and complete all paperwork, mobile timekeeping, turn in all receipts and administrative requirements related to the job while creating and maintaining a professional job atmosphere. Skill set and educational requirements: The Maintenance Foreman must possess the following skill set and educational background: Has a minimum of three years of experience in landscape maintenance/snow removal and be able to demonstrate knowledge. Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy. Experience driving work trucks and hauling trailers with equipment Be able to pass E-verify & background check. Physically able to handle the workload of a Maintenance Crew Leader and/or Laborer. Supervise crew leaders or laborers to efficiently manage the daily workload Able to walk long distances, carry items, bend, reach, push/pull, lift, grasp, pinch, grab, kneel, lean over. Work in areas with hills, slopes, near water ways or ditches, outdoor conditions to include weather conditions of extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, sun, daytime, or night. Operate various machines-commercial mowers, trimmers, UTV, ATV, skid steer, snowplows, spreaders, chainsaws… Work with materials to include chemicals, ice melt, gasoline, organic debris, trash, and other items. Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body. Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly without assistance. Have reliable transportation to/from work. Read and write English. Able to interact with customers, public, vendors, subcontractors, and coworkers in a professional/courteous manner. Operate a mobile phone for timekeeping and communication. Operate mobile applications, email, and submit time/job records.
